Jo Lea's Story
Now all grown up, I'm married and have three great kids. I'm still in Central Florida, living in Merritt Island. I'm fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom. My husband is an engineer for United Space Alliance at KSC.
My son, Jake, will be graduating from Merritt Island High this year. Sam is in second grade and Katie in first.
As for me, last year I joined Team In Training for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and ran in the Half Marathon at Walt Disney World. I know - shocking! My friends from high school will remember that I was not athletic in any way. But,I've been running ever since. I've joined TNT once again and will be running in the Walt Dis...Expand for more
ney World Half Marathon in January, 2009. I'm also going to be competing in the Space Coast Half Marathon this November. I never thought I'd love running so much, but it's a great stress reliever and I really feel good after a long run. I'm not fast, but I always finish!
I haven't seen anyone from high school in many years. I do occasionally talk to by best friend from high school, Robin, but unfortunately with her in Washington we have limited contact.
By the way, my yearbooks had been in storage and were ruined. If anyone has an extra copy from our years (77-79) at Seminole, or know who I can contact about getting another copy, let me know. Thanks.
